Lounsbury's sandwich

We ate Thanksgiving at Sally's so we did not have any leftover turkey or anything so I found a sandwich to make online and we were very pleased with the results. We made Monte Cristo sandwiches from Our Best Bites!! I had heard of Monte Cristo sandwiches but never knew what was in them. They are basically a sandwich with ham and swiss cheese in them with the bread dipped in a mixture of eggs, flour, and milk (sort of like french toast) and then cooked on a griddle. We also sprinkled them with powdered sugar when they were done. They were so delicious and the kids LOVED them. We even dipped them in strawberry jam and it was so yummy with it.
