Saturday- Smoked turkey burger with sweet potato fries and sweet potato salad at The Cove with Andy and Ann
In retrospect, it doesn't look like a very diverse or exciting food week at our house, but that really couldn't be further from the truth. For my early birthday present (yay amazon lightening deals), Meg got me an awesome juicer. I'm totally in love with it and have been in the kitchen trying out many different recipes. In addition to wanting to break in the new juicer, our friend Erin was doing another juice fast, so we decided to join her for part of it (Erin did a 15day fast at the start of August and started another 10day fast at the beginning of September [in awe]. For her it all started with the movie Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead.) Overall the fast was yummy, but I thought I was going to starve to death. The Saturday we started the fast, Meg got sick and couldn't keep anything down. She didn't have much of an appetite for the rest of the week, so that turned out working in her favor.
