We made a recipe from the Ivory Coast. We wanted to make a recipe from somewhere in the African continent, and we have an awesome recipe book that Thekla gave us called 1000 Recipes to Try Before You Die. All the recipies are organized according to country, and of course the book is thicker than a brick! We choose the pancakes with mango chutney because of its simplicity. (And the picture was mouth watering!) They were a lot of fun to make, and were cheap and easy. The recipe was in german because of the book, but Annemarie did a great job of translating it for her sous chef (me). Our griddle is sort of broken because Annemarie dropped it once, so it only has one temperature. Our pancakes didn't get as dark as we would have liked them to be, but they were still delicious. The mango chutney, which is just mangoes, butter, lemon, and powdered sugar, would make a very good crepe filling FYI.
This was a really fun challenge and we found a lot of other recipes that we will make in the future. Thanks Jackmans!

You could put mango on just about anything and I would probably eat it. Looks so good guys.
